In rare admission; “Israeli” takes responsibility for deadly Syria airstrike

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) said today that Faris Qasim, a senior member of the Gaza-based Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) Operations Division – in an airstrike on an area of the Syrian-Lebanese border.

“Israel” rarely claims airstrikes in Syria.

According to the IOF’s statement, Qasim took part in developing the operational plans for the organization in Syria and Lebanon, and had a central role in the recruitment of members to carry out military operations against “Israel”.

Two more PIJ members and a Hezbollah one were killed in the strike, which took place when the four were driving from Syria to Lebanon to carry out operations on behalf of Hezbollah – according to the IOF’s claims.
